SEASON: AGING AND CAREGIVING
ELDERFEST Produced by Bump In the Road Theatre
A day-long festival explored issues of aging and caregiving through theatre
including a staged reading of "Hannah Free" by Claudia Allen, followed by an
audience talkback and a first reading of our newest play, which became "No
Place for Sissies."
(OLD AGE AIN'T) NO PLACE FOR SISSIES Produced by Bump In the Road

Playwrights: Ellen West, Teresa Celsi, John Donnelly, Patrick Wohlmut and
Sharon Whitney
Incorporating community actors from the senior community along with local
professionals, Sissies explores the challenges and joys of aging through the
eyes of the elderly, caregivers and family members in a series of vignettes
drawn from true first person stories. Created in partnership with the
Providence Center on Aging, Loaves and Fishes, Northwest Parish Nurse Ministries and
others.
