2003-04 SEASON: AGING AND CAREGIVING

ELDERFEST
Produced by Bump In the Road Theatre

A day-long festival explored issues of aging and caregiving through
theatre including a staged reading of "Hannah Free"
by Claudia Allen, followed by an audience talkback and
a first reading of our newest play, which became "No Place for Sissies."

(OLD AGE AIN'T) NO PLACE FOR SISSIES
Produced by Bump In the Road Theatre
Directed by Carmela Lanza-Weil
Playwrights: Ellen West, Teresa Celsi, John Donnelly,
Patrick Wohlmut and Sharon Whitney

Incorporating community actors from the senior community along with
local professionals, Sissies explores the challenges and joys of aging
through the eyes of the elderly, caregivers and family members
in a series of vignettes drawn from true first person stories.
Created in partnership with the Providence Center on Aging,
Loaves and Fishes, Northwest Parish Nurse Ministries and others.
